Welcome to the InventEd Convening!

The InventEd Convening is where research, knowledge, and practice in invention education converge. This gathering brings together the breadth and depth of the network to create a collective, strategic voice to drive the future of invention education.

At this year’s Convening, we will focus our efforts on building a collaborative, innovative and resilient network. Let’s build on the hard work this community has accomplished over the last year and go even further to expand invention education to new classrooms, programs, and communities!

What to expect:

November 3: We’ll have optional workshops and meetings to bring existing working groups together or to deep dive into specific topic or challenge areas. An informal evening reception will provide the perfect setting to welcome both new and returning attendees, setting the stage for networking and community-building.

November 4 & 5: Two full days of inspirational talks, breakout sessions and opportunities to get out in Portland. Design sprint activities will be integrated throughout the event to keep attendees engaged, collaborating, and devising bold solutions to invention education’s big challenges. 

Who Should Attend: This convening blends inspiration, learning, and hands-on engagement. It is ideally suited for practitioners, researchers, program representatives, funders, advocates, and others who have a background understanding of invention education and are interested in building this field of practice.
