Opening Night Festivities (March 26 at 4:30 pm): USPTO offices at 600 Dulany St., Alexandria, VA 22314. Walking distance from the Westin hotel
Registration: The registration desk will be open from 8:00 - 11:00 AM on Tuesday, and at 7:30AM on Wednesday and Thursday. Please check in at registration to pick up your badge and conference materials. There will also be an opportunity to get your badge at opening reception at the USPTO.
Attire: Business casual is suggested.
Dine-Arounds: We have arranged limited-capacity reservations at three restaurants in Washington D.C. on March 27, following our visit to the Change Your Game exhibit. This is a self-paid opportunity to connect with fellow attendees and take advantage of being in D.C. Sign-up sheets will be at registration on March 27 at the Westin starting at 7:30 AM – we expect these to fill up quickly!
Pre-Convening Tours: You will have received an email if you are registered for the Tuesday, March 26 pre-convening tours. Please meet in the Westin lobby at 7:30AM. We will provide badges and guide you to the bus. The bus departs promptly at 8:00AM.
Getting Around:
The Westin Hotel and the USPTO are a short walk from both the King Street Metro station (yellow and blue lines) and the Eisenhower Avenue Metro station (yellow line only).
There is a shuttle at the hotel that will take guests within a 2 mile radius from 7 am - 10 pm, including to and from the Metro station. Service is complementary and first come first serve.

What if I drive?
Parking at the hotel is $25 per day or $40 overnight. There is a 20% discount for Convening attendees.

Cherry Blossom Festival:
The National Cherry Blossom Festival is happening March 20 - April 14. Check out their website to discover all of the events taking place.
Show Your Badge Program: If you are on your own for a dinner during the Convening, we are signed up to receive special discounts at participating restaurants in Alexandria, as seen here. You must bring your name badge and show the web browser for the Show Your Badge flyer. Sometimes new staffers or servers may not be familiar with the program on a verbal basis, so it's important to brin the flyer with you. The program offer is limited to one per seated reservation and may not be combined with other promotions.
